HOBBIES

HORTICULTURAL BASED HOBBIES

Given a technology based society we should have things easier, right? Not always so we have found. With many added benefits come additional stresses. Stresses to learn how to use the information or devices, secure backup because you know that day is coming, and “yikes” pay for them.  So our everyday lives are busy, but outside that busy schedule it is important we find meaningful activities that add purpose and joy to our lives. Enter a hobby or hobbies. Hobbies provide the path for us to pursue things that interest us as well as many have a creative outlet. This leads to a healthier lifestyle. A healthier you!

It is important to find a hobby that interests you, gives you purpose, and fits your budget and location boundaries. We would like to highlight three top ranking hobbies but through our research we have added what we call “flair inventions.”  These are products that give you a boost for doing your hobby well and/or allow your participation to provide you a unique and original benefit. Even if you are not interested in the categories listed here you will be uniquely interested in what we found in our research. Join us in the categores below to find out. See you on the inside.

PHOTOGRAPHY
This artistic medium has been around for over 200 years starting with the simple need to capture people and places.  It is best described by Sam Newman in a September 12, 2018 article in thehub. “Today, photography captures the most breathtaking, abstract, and unique moments. It is a medium that can be exact and definite, but also can be warped and whimsical.” We have all seen some of the most breathtaking occurences in nature as we stroll through the garden. A lone lady beetle resting on the petals of blue Forget Me Nots, the beautiful and amazing hummingbird as it hovers while partaking nectar, and the horticultural paradise of the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. So grab the camera and remember, “life is like a camera . . . focus on what’s important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and if things don’t work out, take another shot.” Check out our article here for the latest product reviews and “flair inventions.”  PHOTOGRAPHY
